League of Legends Crownguard tournament opened its door to local gamers in Montenegro on **the 25th of February**, with a **prize pool of 600€**, and managed to bring together **168 players**!

**‘’We outdid ourselves’’** stated Andrija Dragojević, 3Hills project manager, *‘’We initially provided space for 80 players, but the number of sign-ups just kept rising. I am amazed by the potential that Montenegro has as an esport community’’*.

The tournament was divided into three phases and **lasted an entirety of 10 days**. To make this event stand out and go through without a hitch, the 3Hills team gathered its marketers, designers, production team and organized an unforgettable event.

On the other side, the teams brought their A-game, so the entire tournament provided extremely entertaining matches where the fans could not pick a crowd favorite to win the tournament.

While the first two phases were played online, **the Grand Finale was held in the Sports Cultural Centre**. The teams had the chance to meet in person and feel the authentic esport atmosphere that 3Hills strives to provide.

The entire event had an air of excitement and tension as we waited to crown the winner, as the casters **Lazar Prelević (Preša)** and **Stefan Savić (Dante)** carried the energy through the live stream on the [3Hills YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0GiAH5lwvySgSgL5q2Q_BQ).

League of Legends Crownguard turnir je** 25. februara**, u Crnoj Gori, otvorio svoja vrata gejmerima sa **nagradnim fondom od 600€** i uspio da privuče **168 igrača**!

**“Nadmašili smo sebe”** kazao je ponosno Andrija Dragojević, projektni menadžer 3Hills studija, *“Inicijalno smo obezbijedili 80 mjesta, ali prijave su samo pristizale. Oduševljen sam potencijalom koji Crna Gora ima kada je u pitanju esport zajednica”*.

Turnir je bio podjeljen u tri faze, pa je **sami proces takmičenja trajao 10 dana**. Za sprovođenje ovakvog događaja 3Hills je okupio svoje marketare, dizajnere, snimatelje, pa se cijeli tim pobrinuo da događaj prođe bez greške.

S druge strane, timovi su imali jak takmičarski duh, pa je Crownguard turnir bio ispunjen dinamičnim mečevima gdje publika nije mogla da odluči ko će im biti favorit.

Dok su prve dvije faze bile online, **Grand Finale se održalo u prostorijama Sportsko Kulturnog Centra**. Timovi su imali priliku da se međusobno upoznaju i osjete autentičnu esport atmosferu koju 3Hills pruža.

The biggest League of Legends tournament in Montenegro

3Hills gaming studio is organizing its first League of **Legends Crownguard Tournament**. The tournament starts on the **25th of February** and ends on the **5th of March**. 32 teams will have the chance to battle through 3 distinct selection phases to win the grand prize of **600€**

The sign-ups are open from the **07th of February** until the **23rd of February**, and all the gamers from Montenegro can sign up their teams for the available 16 spots. “I am very excited that we are starting something new here in Montenegro. After the successful launch of our first mobile game, [Starblind](https://3hills.io/starblind), we are taking another step forward and organizing our first League of Legends tournament,” says Andrija Dragojević, project manager.

**Conditions for participation in the tournament**:
1. The teams have to have 5 players
2. One reserve player
3. 4 players have to be from Montenegro, 1 player can be from the region

**The structure of the tournament is made up of 3 stages**:

**Grup stage** (**26, 27. and the 28th of February**) in which the teams will be divided into groups of 4 teams where they will play 3 matches against the other 3 teams in their group. The top two teams in every group will continue to the next stage. The matches of the group phase will not be streamed.

**Play-Off - Double Elimination stage** first part (**1st, 2nd and 3rd of March**): The teams that got first place in their groups will move directly to the upper bracket, while the teams that were placed second in the group stage will take a spot in the lower bracket and have one defeat added to their status. As the name suggests, double-elimination means that the teams in the upper brackets have to have two defeats in order to be eliminated. The teams in the lower bracket however are eliminated after only one defeat. The matches will be best of 3.

**LAN stage** (**5th of March**) is the semifinals and finals which will be played live in the University sports and cultural center (USCC) and will be streamed live on the [3Hills youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0GiAH5lwvySgSgL5q2Q_BQ).

3Hills gaming studio organizuje prvi League of Legends Crownguard turnir. Turnir počinje **25. februara** a završava se **5. marta**. 32 tima imaće priliku da se kroz tri selekcione faze bore za nagradni fond u vrijednosti od **600€**.

**Uslovi učešća**:
- Timovi moraju imati 5 igrača, 
- Jednu rezervu 
- 4 igrača moraju biti iz Crne Gore, a 1 može biti iz regiona

**Struktura turnira se sastoji iz 3 faze**:

**Grupna faza** (**26, 27. i 28. februar**) u kojoj će svi timovi biti podijeljeni u grupe od po 4 tima gdje će svako igrati best of 3 meča protiv ostala 3 tima u svojoj grupi. Dva tima iz svake grupe će proći u sljedeću fazu. Mečevi grupne faze neće biti strimovani.

**Play Off - Double Elimination faza prvi dio** (**1, 2. i 3. mart**): Prvoplasirani timovi iz grupne faze prolaze direktno u upper bracket, dok timovi koji su bili drugoplasirani prelaze u lower bracket sa jednim uračunatim porazom. Kao što i sam naziv kaže, double elimination podrazumijeva dvije šanse timovima u upper bracket-u. Drugoplasirani timovi u lower bracktu imaju samo jednu. Igraju se bo3 mečevi.

**LAN faza** (**5. mart**) podrazumijeva polufinale i finalni meč koji će se odigrati uživo u prostorijama Univerzitetsko sportsko-kulturnog centara (SKC) i koji će biti ispraćen live prenosom na [3Hills youtube kanalu](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0GiAH5lwvySgSgL5q2Q_BQ).

Our first League of Legends Tournament in Podgorica!

Podgorica, December 10 - A year after the first Montenegrin "Gaming and eSports MeetUp", the first domestic game for mobile phones was launched. The **Starblind** game was created by our **3Hills gaming studio**, founded in 2021 to draw Montenegro on a map of one of the largest industries in the world.

### A cosmic saga by a Montenegrin astronaut

Starblind follows the adventures of an astronaut who, during a research expedition to another planet, encounters many challenges and obstacles. The goal of the player is to cover as much distance as possible, which is why he belongs to the "endless runner" genre of game. This is just the first in a series of games to be created within the 3Hills brand.

*Since these are pioneering steps in this area, our goal was not to immediately create a game with which we can storm the global market. We wanted to ensure we thoroughly explored the process of making the game, which is challenging and demanding. In the industry, this is done by teams that have dozens of experts in their composition. During the entire phase, our team strives to learn as much as possible, from the initial ideas to the final product. This is to ensure that we can afford to think more ambitiously and take bolder steps in the future. This is just the beginning* - **Andrija Dragojević**, project manager of **3Hills studio**.

The game is free to download on **Google Play** and **App store**. The launch was preceded by a series of activities in which the main hero, Bo the astronaut, attracted attention and interacted with the citizens of Podgorica, at various locations.

### 3Hills - a new chapter in the story of gaming in Montenegro

In addition to creating games, one of the strategic directions of 3Hills will be the development of the eSport ecosystem itself. In other words, the organization of tournaments.

Podgorica, 10 decembar - Godinu dana nakon prvog crnogorskog “Gaming and esports MeetUp"-a, lansirana je i prva domaća igra za mobilne telefone. **Starblind** igricu kreirao je naš **3Hills gejming studio**, osnovan tokom 2021. godine s ciljem da  Crnu Goru ucrta na mapu jedne od najvećih industrija na svijetu.

### Kosmička saga crnogorskog astronauta

Starblind je priča o astronautu koji se, tokom istraživačke ekspedicije na drugoj planeti, susrijeće sa nizom izazova i prepreka. Cilj igrača je da pređe što veću distancu, zbog čega spada u “endless runner“ tip igrica, što znači da je igračev glavni cilj da pređe što veću distancu. Ovo je tek prva u nizu igara koje će biti kreirane u okviru 3Hills brenda. 

*Budući da je riječ o pionirskim koracima u ovoj oblasti, naš cilj nije bio da odmah kreiramo igru kojom pretendujemo na svjetsko tržište. ## PGL Stockholm Major has come to an end, S1mple finally has a Major title

The Ukrainian team Natus Vincere is the winner of the trophy intended for the best team of PGL Stockholm Major. After a great fight and an incredible turnaround on the second map, they defeated team G2 with 2:0 and thus finally broke the curse of 2nd places in the biggest competitions, collecting a million dollars for their efforts along the way, reminding the crowd in the capital of Sweden what the charm of LAN events was all about, the charm that was missing for the past two years, during the online era.

The way they got their first title is impressive - they are the first team in the history of the CS: GO Major competition to reach the top without losing a single map! Something that even the powerhouse Astralis, who dominated the scene from 2017 to 2019, didn’t manage to do, even though they picked up four Major titles in that time period. Thus, comparisons of this Na’vi with that Astralis team have already begun, and the fans of the Ukrainian team, popularly called Navination, believe in the beginning of an even more dominant era.

The path that brought the players of Natus Vincere to the top was paved with great teamwork but also individual outplays - during the New Legends phase, Heroic and Virtus. Pro was defeated (1:0), and then in the third round, they defeated Ninjas in Pajamas (NiP) with an easy 2:0, a team which most thought would be the biggest surprise of the tournament, thus securing the first position before the playoffs phase. And then in the quarterfinals, they battled the French representative Team Vitality, won on both maps (Dust2 16:11, Nuke 16:13), and confirmed their great form.

What most did not expect was the result of the semi-final duel with their colleagues from the CiS region – team Gambit. Gambit has stepped on Na’vi’s toes many times this year, which seemed to be fueling their revenge, served at the best possible moment. Na’vi dismantled their opponent - especially convincing was the win on Overpass, where the result was an unreal 16-3! Add to that the fact that Alexander "S1mple" Kostyliev had a score of 50-20 and a rating of 1.90… Where will you get a better prelude for the finals?

Their rival was a team that threw all its fans into despair with the form that preceded the Major, easily losing matches even to tier 2 teams. However, it turned out that G2 only saved the strategies for the Major, because they, like Na’vi, reached the playoffs with a score of 3:0 in the group stage. This was followed by a great game in the quarterfinals where they defeated NiP 2-0. Then came a classic nail-biter in the semifinals against team Heroic. After losing on the first map (Nuke 12:16), a great game on their map pick brought them an equalizer (Mirage 16:10), so everything came down to Inferno. G2 had a huge advantage (13:7) and a great opportunity to comfortably bring the match to an end, but they spilled the advantage like they were holding hot potatoes, so we headed into overtime, where after the phenomenal Terrorist side (3-0) they succeeded to utilize their first match point on the CT side and with 19:15 win sent Heroic packing.

G2 captain and in-game leader Nemanja "Nexa" Isaković announced in an interview after reaching the finals that they will try to fend off the favorites of the tournament and that they are going to try to avenge the defeats inflicted in the previous two finals (IEM Katowice, March 2020 (3:0) and IEM Cologne, July 2021 (3:0)).

And the players of G2 definitely gave their maximum in the finals. During the map selection, they decided to try to surprise Natus Vincere by picking Ancient, a map that both teams played only once during the Major (Na’vi defeated Heroic 16:11, while G2 won with the same result against Copenhagen Flames). However, the map pick backfired so Na’vi, after a great T side, was a map up with the final result being, you guessed right - 16:11.

Next up - Nuke. A map on which Na’vi had 17 consecutive wins, before the finals and a map from which Na’vi was supposed to sweep G2, especially considering that the French team lost the only map on the Major right on Nuke. But not only was G2 not swept like expected they took us into double overtime! The players of the French organization opened the map brilliantly and with their aggressive game on the CT side, they simply did not give Na’vi space to breathe. They read them like a book, it was obvious that they had done their homework and prepared a great defense, which gave them an enviable advantage at the end of the first half - 10:5. However, even the fact that they had a lead of 14:7, and then 15:10 and five map points, was not enough to close up the map in their favor and take us to the decider map. The defensive game of the Ukrainians was textbook showcasing, which just showed why they managed to have such a long winning streak on this map. Nikola "Niko" Kovač also had a great influence on the result - with a score of 15:12, in a 2 on 2 situation, Niko had an easy frag over S1mple that would seal the fate of the opposing team and take us to Mirage. Still, the Bosnian's hand trembled, and S1mple punished the bad aim of the G2 star with a quick flick. That moment seems to have been the beginning of the end for G2, and a moment that all fans of the game will remember for a long time to come.

This was followed by an equalizer (15:15), and there was a draw after the first overtime (18:18), although the Ukrainians had 18:16. However, G2 with three consecutive rounds managed to turn the score around to 19:18. That was, unfortunately, all she wrote for the French organization – they’ve spent all of their remaining strength allowing Na’vi to play their game. The Ukrainians finally managed to play their game, breaking their opponents, and with four consecutive rounds they managed to bring the match to an end and the celebrations started!
It was obvious how much this meant to the young Ukrainian superstar, arguably the best player to ever play the game, who was twice stopped from realizing his dream - first with team Liquid in the finals of the ESL One Cologne in 2016 (SK Telecom celebrated after a 2:0 win) and then with his current team at FACEIT Major 2018 in London (defeat by Astralis 2:0). This time S1mple aimed at the main target and rushed towards it like a bullet, not allowing anyone to distract or stop him.

However, this time not everything was on his shoulders. Although he carried most of the burden, as many as three Na’vi players found themselves in the top 5 best players of the tournament. The MVP award deservedly went into his hands. S1mple excelled throughout the tournament, rounding off a great game with 72 frags in the final series (32 at Ancient and 40 at Nuke) with an average rating of 1.54 (1.47 in total). This helped him to eventually skip Niko, who held first place on the MVP list until the final series (1.42). In addition to S1mple, Denis "Electronic" Sharipov (1.28) was on the list, as well as, we can freely say, the hands of the year - Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi (1.27), who took the fourth and fifth place on the list. The top 5 was rounded up by Vitality player Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut with a rating of 1.30.

Thus, the Ukrainian organization finally won a Major trophy. The only team that participated in each of the 16 Majors so far, after their fourth final, finally managed to make full use of the potential of their roster and placed the long-awaited trophy in its showcases.
As for the players - there is no excessive break since BLAST Premiere: Fall finals 2021 series is just around the corner (24-28. November), where we will have the opportunity to watch 8 teams in yet another LAN - this time in Copenhagen: Astralis, NiP, Vitality, BIG, Faze Clan, Heroic, Liquid and Natus Vincere in the fight for $ 225,000 and place at the World Final which is on the program from 14-19. December. This will also be the last major event for the year 2021.

##  Završen PGL Stokholm Major, S1mple konačno dočekao Major titulu

Ukrajinska ekipa Natus Vincere osvajač je pehara namijenjenog najboljoj ekipi PGL Stokholm Majora. Oni su nakon velike borbe i nevjerovatnog preokreta na drugoj mapi savladali ekipu G2 sa 2:0 i tako konačno prekinuli kletvu drugih mjesta na najvećim takmičenjima, usput inkasiravši milion dolara za svoj trud.
            	
Način pomoću kojeg su došli do svoje prve titule je impresivan – prva su ekipa u istoriji CS:GO Major takmičenja koja je do vrha došla ne izgubivši niti jednu mapu! To za rukom nije pošlo ni moćnom Astralisu, koji je dominirao scenom od 2017. do 2019. godine, pokupivši četiri Major titule u tom vremenskom periodu. Tako su već počela poređenja ovog Na’vija sa tim Astralisom, a navijači ukrajinske ekipe, popularno nazvani Navination, vjeruju u početak još dominantnije ere.

Put koji je doveo igrače ekipe Natus Vincere do vrha je bio popločan sjajnom timskom igrom ali i individualnim outplay-evima – tokom New Legends faze savladani su Heroic i Virtus.Pro (1:0), a zatim su u trećoj rundi su sa laganih 2:0 savladali ekipu Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP), za koju je većina mislila da će biti najveće iznenađenje turnira, tako osiguravši prvo poziciju pred plejof fazu. Svoju moć su demonstrirali i u četvrtfinalu gdje su savladali francuskog predstavnika Team Vitality (Dust2 16:11, Nuke 16:13) potvrdivši sjajnu formu.

Ono što većina nije očekivala je rezultat polufinalnog duela sa kolegama iz CiS regije – ekipom Gambit. Gambit je dosta puta tokom ove godine stao na žulj igračima Na’vija koji su izgleda spremali osvetu za najbolji mogući momenat. Prosto su demolirali protivnika, pogotovo na svom map pick-u gdje je rezultat glasio nestvarnih 16-3! Još kada se tome doda činjenica da je Oleksandr „S1mple“ Kostilijev u tom meču imao skor od 50-20 i rejting od 1.90.. Gdje ćete bolju uvertiru pred finale?

Njihov rival u finalu bila je ekipa koja je sve svoje fanove bacila u očaj formom koja je prethodila Majoru, sa lakoćom gubivši mečeve i od tier 2 ekipa. Međutim, ispostavilo se da je G2 samo čuvao strategije za Major, jer su i oni, kao i Na’vi, do plejofa došli sa skorom od 3:0 u grupnoj fazi. Uslijedila je odlična igra u četvrfinalu gdje su sa 2:0 savladali NiP i onda „kidanje živaca“ u polufinalu sa ekipom Heroic. Nakon poraza na prvoj mapi (Nuke 12:16), sjajna igra na svom map pick-u im je donio izjednačenje (Mirage 16:10) i sve se svelo na Inferno. Imao je G2 13:7 i sjajnu priliku da komotno privede meč kraju ali su prokockali prednost i otišlo se u produžetke, gdje su nakon fenomenalne Terrorist strane (3-0) iskoristili prvu meč loptu na CT strani i sa 19:15 ispratili Heroic sa glavne bine.

Uslijedio je Nuke. Mapa na kojoj je Na’vi prije finala imao 17 pobjeda za redom i mapa sa koje Na’vi trebalo da počisti G2, posebno ako se uzme u obzir da je francuska ekipa izgubila jedinu mapu na Majoru upravo na Nuke-u. Ali, G2 ne samo da nije bio počišćen već nas je odveo u double overtime! Sjajno su igrači francuske organizacije otvorili mapu i agresivnom igrom na CT strani jednostavno nijesu dali Na’viju prostora da diše. Čitali su ih kao knjigu, vidjelo se da su odradili domaći zadatak i pripremili sjajnu odbranu što im je donijelo zavidnu prednost na kraju prvog poluvremena – 10:5. Međutim, ni činjenica da su imali vođstvo od 14:7, pa onda i 15:10 i pet map „lopti“, nije bila dovoljna da mapu riješe u svoju korist. Na scenu je stupila defanzivna igra Ukrajinaca koji su pokazali zbog čega su uspjeli da imaju toliko dug pobjednički niz na ovoj mapi, ali je velikog uticaja imao i Nikola „Niko“ Kovač, koji je kod rezultata 15:12, u 2 na 2 situaciji, imao lagan frag nad S1mplom koji bi definitivno zapečatio sudbinu protivničke ekipe i otišlo bi se na Mirage. Ipak, zadrhtala je ruka Bosancu, a S1mple brzim flick-om kažnjava loš aim zvijezde G2. Čini se da je taj momenat bio početak kraja za G2, i definitivno momenat kojeg će se svi fanovi igre sjećati još dugo vremena.

Nakon ovog uslijedilo je izjednačenje (15:15), a neriješeno je bilo i nakon prvog produžetka (18:18), iako su Ukrajinci imali 18:16. Međutim, G2 sa tri uzastopne runde preokreće na 19:18 ali je to na žalost bilo sve preostalo snage što su imali u sebi. Nakon toga  Na’vi konačno uspijeva da dođe do svoje igre i sa četiri vezane runde sa njihove strane uspijevaju da meč privedu kraju i slavlje je moglo do počne!

Vidjelo se koliko je ovo značilo mladom Ukrajincu koji je dva puta zaustavljan na korak od ostvarenja svog sna – prvo sa ekipom Liquid u finalu ESL One Keln 2016. godine (SK Telecom slavio sa 2:0) a zatim i sa svojom sadašnjom ekipom na FACEIT Majoru 2018. u Londonu (poraz od Astralisa 2:0). S1mple je nanišanio glavnu metu i kao metak se stuštio ka cilju, ne dozvolivši nikom da ga omete.

Ipak, ovog puta nije baš sve bilo na njegovim ramenima. Iako je on iznio najveći dio tereta, čak tri igrača Na’vija se našlo u top 5 najboljih igrača turnira. Nagrada za MVP-a je potpuno očekivano i zasluženo otišla u njegove ruke. S1mple je briljirao tokom cijelog turnira, a sjajnu partiju je zaokružio sa 72 fraga u finalnoj seriji (32 na Ancient-u i 40 na Nuke-u) uz prosječan rejting od 1.54 (1.47 ukupno). To mu je pomoglo da na kraju preskoči Nika, tragičara finala, koji je držao prvo mjesto na MVP listi sve do finalne serije (1.42). Pored S1mple-a na listi su se našli i Denis „Electronic“ Šaripov (1.28) kao i, možemo slobodno reći, ruki godine – Valerij „b1t“ Vakovskij (1.27), koji su zauzeli četvrto i peto mjesto na listi. Top 5 je zaokružio igrač ekipe Vitality Matju „ZywOo“ Herbo sa rejtingom od 1.30.

Ukrajinska organizacija se tako konačno „okitila“ peharom sa Majora – jedina ekipa koja je učestvovala na svakom od dosadašnjih 16 Majora je nakon četvrtog finala konačno uspjela da dokaže potencijal koji njihova ekipa posjeduje i u svoje vitrine smjesti dugo očekivani trofej.

Za ekipe nema pretjerane pauze jer je od 24-28. novembra na programu BLAST Premiere: Fall finals 2021 serija, gdje ćemo imati priliku da u LAN-u u Kopenhagenu gledamo 8 timova: Astralis, NiP, Vitality, BIG, Faze Clan, Heroic, Liquid i Natus Vincere u borbi za 225.000 dolara i mjesto na World Finalu koje je na programu od 14-19. decembra, ujedno i poslednjem događaju za 2021. godinu.

Back in 1996, Gabe Newell, programmer, co-founder, and president of video game and digital distribution company Valve had the vision to present video games to the world in a way we will remember for a long time. From the first hit like Half-Life 1 and  2 to Portal 1 and 2, Counter-Strike series, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2,  Artifact to buying a license for Dota 2, it seems like Valve is making all the best moves when it comes to the gaming scene.

When Valve announced Steam Deck on July 15, 2021, many were skeptical about the performance of the console itself. How can something relatively small have the power of an entire PC? Will it have frame drops? Can I run absolutely every game in my Steam library? Surely the commands will not be intuitive? The price must be astronomical, right? Gabe Newell assures us that Steam Deck has everything that was promised, and even more.

At first glance, the Steam Deck looks like the big brother of Sony's PSP with additional buttons, a touchpad and a larger screen. Comes in an elegant black design and bag. It has all the peripherals that a PC has. It can also be attached to a large TV screen, Bluetooth is present, which allows it to play via mouse and keyboard, headphones, fighting sticks, etc. It is also able to stream all live games. 

In partnership with AMD, Valve has created a special APU (Accelerated Processing Unit), which enables adequate playing of the latest AAA titles. An interesting addition is the Gyro, which allows you to aim better in shooting games, physically positioning the console itself instead of aiming with buttons or a touchpad. 

The question is, how long can we actually use a Steam Deck before its battery runs out? If we consider its strength and performance, then relatively short? Console technicians have announced that it depends entirely on us. Inside this beast is a 40WH battery that allows 2-3 hours of playing any game. In case we use the console for some smaller 2D games, surfing the net or streaming, we can expect it to work 7-8 hours. I'm sure 2-3 hours of gaming won't be enough for someone who is constantly on the move. But we all know that kids, after their parents send them to bed, will pull the Steam Deck under the pillow and attach it to the charger to constantly play their favorite game.

We believe that the next step for Valve is to increase the console's internal memory capacity. because if we take into account that Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone takes up a hefty 175GB of memory or Red Dead Redemption 2 almost 150GB, it puts us in a situation of frequently deleting games. And for some gamers, one game is good for today, but tomorrow he may want to try something new.

The prices are extremely reasonable when compared to the current market situation of GPUs, CPUs and other PC hardware components.

We can expect Steam Deck in December 2021, as Valve officially announced. The perfect New Year's gift for someone who spends their free time playing video games. However, we need to be aware that once the console is available, it will probably sell out quickly, so you need to be persistent and refresh that buying page.

Valve has never disappointed us, excluding Artifact, therefore we believe that Steam Deck will be the next hit that will be on the shelves of every gamer.

Gabe newell, programer, suosnivač i predsjednik kompanije za izradu video-igara i digitalnu distribuciju Valve, imao je viziju da predstavi video-igre svijetu na onaj način kakvim ćemo ga dugo pamtiti. Od prvog hita kao što je Half-Life 1 i 2 pa Portal 1 i 2, Counter-Strike serijala, Left 4 Dead 1 i 2, Artifact (pa i ne baš) do kupovanja licence za Dotu 2, čine se kao da Valve pravi sve najbolje poteze kada je u pitanju gejming scena.

Kada je Valve najavio 15 Jula, 2021 godine Steam Deck, mnogi  su bili skeptični po pitanju performansi same konzole. Kako nešto  relativno malo može imati moć čitavog PC-ja? Sigurno ću imati  Frejm-dropove? Da li apsolutno svaku igru u mojoj Steam  biblioteci mogu pokrenuti? Komande sigurno neće biti intuitivne?  Cijena će sigurno biti astronomska? Gabe Newell nas uvjerava da Steam Deck posjeduje sve ono što  je obećano, čak i više.

Steam Deck na prvi pogled izgleda kao veliki brat Sonijevog PSP ja sa dodatnim dugmićima, touch pad-om i većim ekranom.  Dolazi u crnoj boji i sa crnom torbicom. Posjeduje sve periferije  koje posjeduje PC. Može se nakačiti i na veliki TV ekran, prisutan  Bluetooth koji mu omogućava igru preko miša i tastature,  Slušalice, Fajting Stick-ovi itd. U stanju je i da Strimuje sve igre  uživo. 

Valve je u partnerstvu sa AMD-om napravio specijalan APU  (Accelerated Processing Unit), koji omogućava adekvatno igranje  najnovijih AAA naslova. Tehničari konzole su  najavili da zavisi od nas. Unutar ove zvjeri se nalazi 40WH  baterija koja omogućava 2-3 sata igranja bilo koje igre. U slučaju  da ćemo konzolu koristiti za neke manje 2D igre, surfovanje  netom ili strimovanje, možemo očekivati rad od 7-8 sati. Sigurni smo da 2-3 sata gejminga za nekoga ko je stalno u pokretu neće  biti baš dovoljno. Ali svi znamo da će djeca nakon što ih roditelji  pošalju u krevet izvući Steam Deck ispod jastuka i prikačiti ga na  punjenje za neprestano igranje njihove omiljene igre.

Nadamo se da je sledeći korak za Valve poradi na tome da poveća kapacitet interne memorije konzole, jer ako uzmemo u obzir da Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone zauzima pozamašnih 175GB memorije ili Red Dead Redemption 2 skoro 150GB, to nas dovodi u situaciju čestog brisanja igara. A nekim gejmera odgovara tog dana ta igra a drugog dana nešto sledeće. 

Cijene su izuzetno razumne kada ih uporedimo sa trenutnim stanjem tržišta GPU-a, CPU-a i ostalih hardverskih komponenti za PC. 

Steam Deck možemo očekivati u Decembru 2021 godine, kako je  Valve oficijalno najavio. Perfektan novogodišnji poklon za nekoga  ko provodi slobodno vrijeme igrajući video-igre. Ipak, moramo  biti svjesni da kada konzola bude bila dostupna, vjerovatno će se  brzo rasprodati, tako da morate biti uporni i osvježavati tu  kupovnu web stranicu na sajtu. 

Valve nas nikada nije razočarao, ako zanemarimo Artifact.  samim tim vjerujemo da će Steam Deck biti sledeći hit koji će se  nalaziti na policama svakog gejmera.

## The Korean teams are one step ahead of everyone, EDward Gaming defends the honor of other regions

This year's World Championship in the game League of Legends (LoL Worlds 2021) with its epicenter in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik, is slowly entering its final phase.

After an exciting group stage and a couple of surprising results (one of which includes the relegation of one of the favorites for lifting the trophy, team FunPlus Phoenix), it was time for quarterfinal matches.

Half of the participants in the quarterfinals were teams from South Korea - **Denwon Gaming KIA** (Group A), T1 (Group B), **Hanwha Life Esports** (Group C), and **Gen.G esports** (Group D). The remaining 11 qualifying regions gave the second half, with China leading the procession and having two teams in the quarterfinals - **EDward Gaming** (Group B) and **Royal Never Give Up** (Group C), **Mad Lions** (Group D) as a representative of the European region, concluding with **Cloud 9** (North America). The North American representative is probably the biggest surprise of the group stage - the players from C9 defeated the second-seeded team in a direct duel for placement in the quarterfinals - the Korean team FunPlus Phoenix, which ended up at the bottom of Group A, with the same score as Cloud9 and Rogue (2-4).

In the first knockout round, groups A and D, ie B and C, crossed, so we had the opportunity to watch two derbies - the first was the duel of two Chinese representatives, which left the fans of the teams with a sweet-bitter feeling in their mouths. Yes, China will have at least one representative, but they reached the semifinals through a team from their region. In the end - EDward Gaming (EDG) celebrates a 3:2 victory in a match that satisfied the tastes of all fans, not just the Chinese ones. Although they looked a bit shaky during the group stage, EDG members still showed why they came to the Worlds as the first seed from the Korean region - they managed to recover after the defeat on the first map and with two wins in a row took the lead (2:1). However, RNG did not give up so easily, and winning the fourth led us to the fifth map, which proved disastrous for them. An excellent game on the fifth map was provided by the core duo of the EDG team – mid-laner **Lee "Scout" Ye-chan** on his signature hero **Ryze**, as well as, currently perhaps the best carry player, **Park "Viper" Do-hyeon**, on **Ezriel**. RNG’s biggest mistake could have possibly been the fact that they allowed Ryze to go through the initial ban phase.

Thus, EDG will have to overcome probably the weakest of the three Korean teams in the semifinals - Gen.G esports, which clean-sweep Cloud9 from Summoners Rift (3:0), ending the dreams of the team that was the biggest surprise of the group stage. After a furious 2:0 by Gen.G, Cloud9 woke up on the third map. They had the lead during most of the match, but one misplay from their carry player **Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen** during the key moments of the match cost them dearly. After that, C9 did not have the strength to maintain the lead, and in the end, they had to sign the capitulation.

The second semi-final match can be freely called the final before the final. Teams T1 and Denwon Gaming KIA will meet in the clash of the titans of the LoL scene. This will be an opportunity for T1 to take revenge on the opponent for the defeat in the LCK final (1:3) and at the same time dethrone last year's Worlds winner.

T1 finished the group stage of Group B in the first place and thus had the Korean representative Hahwha Life esports as an obstacle on the way to the finals. However, **Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok**, arguably the best player in the history of LoL, carried his team to an easy victory over their opponents. It seemed like T1 simply took a walk through the park at the opening of the quarterfinal matches (3:0).

It turned out that the members of the title defender did not have a more difficult job than T1. Being the only team that finished the group stage with a perfect score (6:0) Denwon Gaming makes a clear statement and lets everyone know that they aren't planning on giving up on the title they won last year in Shanghai. They also defeated the European representative, the Mad Lions team (3:0), which most thought would be the "dark horse" of this year's Worlds. However, after an exhausting group stage (all four teams within Group D had a score of 3:3) they did not have the strength nor concentration to prevent the currently most dominant team on the scene on their way of defending the title.

The teams will have a few days off and it will be a great opportunity to properly prepare for what awaits them, and us. The semi-final matches will be opened by the super-derby between T1 and DAMWON Gaming, which is scheduled for October 30th (2 pm local time), while the teams EDward Gaming and Gen.G esports will play theirs on the 31st (also 2 pm local time).

## Koreanske ekipe za korak ispred svih, EDward Gaming brani čast ostalih regija

Ovogodišnji svjetski šampionat u igri League of Legends (LoL Worlds 2021) sa epicentrom u glavnom gradu Islanda, Rejkjaviku, polako ulazi u završnu fazu.

Nakon uzbudljive grupne faze i par iznenađujućih rezultata (jedan od njih uključuje ispadanje jednog od favorita za podizanje pehara, ekipe FunPlus Phoenix), na red su došli četvrtfinalni mečevi.

Polovinu učesnika četvrtfinala sačinjavale su ekipe iz Južne Koreje – **Denwon Gaming KIA** (Grupa A), **T1** (Grupa B), **Hanwha Life Esports** (Grupa C) te **Gen.G esports** (Grupa D). Preostalih 11 kvalifikacionih regija dalo je drugu polovinu, sa Kinom na čelu povorke i dvije ekipe u četvrtfinalu - **EDward Gaming** (Grupa B) i **Royal Never Give Up** (Grupa C), zatim **Mad Lions** (Grupa D) kao predstavnik evropske regije, zaključno sa **Cloud 9** (Sjeverna Amerika). Sjevernoamerički predstavnik je, vjerovatno, najveće iznenađenje grupne faze – igrači iz C9 su u direktnom duelu za plasman u četvrtinu finala savladali drugog „nosioca“ – koreansku ekipu FunPlus Phoenix, koja je na kraju završila na začelju grupe A sa istim skorom kao Cloud9 i Rogue (2-4).

U prvoj nokaut rundi ukrštale su se grupe A i D, odnosno B i C, pa smo tako imali prilike da gledamo dva derbija – prvi je bio duel kineskih predstavnika, što fanovima ekipa ostavlja slatko-gorak osjećaj u ustima. Da, Kina će imati makar jednog predstavnika ali su do polufinala došli preko ekipe iz svoje regije. Na kraju – EDward Gaming (EDG) slavi pobjedu od 3:2 u meču koji je zadovoljio ukuse svih fanova, ne samo kineskih. Iako su izgledali pomalo klimavo tokom grupne faze igrači EDG-a su ipak pokazali zašto su na Worlds došli kao prvi nosilac – uspjeli su da se oporave nakon poraza na prvoj mapi i sa dva vezana trujmfa pređu u vođstvo od 2:1. Međutim, nije se RNG dao tako lako i pobjedom na četvrtoj vode nas u petu mapu, koja je pokazala pogubna za njih. Odličnu partiju na petoj mapi pružio je duo core ekipe EDG – midlejner **Li „Scout“ Je-čan** na njegovom signaturnom heroju **Ryze-u**, kao i, trenutno možda najbolji carry igrač, **Park „Viper“ Do-hjeon**, na **Ezrielu**. Možda najveća greška RNG-a bila je upravo ta kada su dopustili da Ryze prođe inicijalnu ban fazu.

Tako će EDG u polufinalu morati da nadjača vjerovatno najslabiju od tri koreanske ekipe - Gen.G esports, koja je počistila Cloud9 sa Summoners Rifta (3:0) i tako okončala snove najvećeg iznenađenja grupne faze. Nakon furioznih 2:0 od strane ekipe Gen.G, Cloud9 se probudio na trećoj mapi, imali su vođstvo tokom većine meča, ali jedan missplay njihovog carry igrača **Jesper „Zven“ Svenningsona** u ključnim momentima meča ih je skupo koštao. Nakon toga C9 nije imao snage da održi vođstvo i na kraju su morali da potpišu kapitulaciju.

Drugi polufinalni meč možemo slobodno nazvati finalem prije finala. Ekipe T1 i Denwon Gaming KIA sastaće se u sudaru titana LoL scene. Biće ovo prilika za T1 da se revanšira protivniku za poraz u finalu LCK-a (1:3) i ujedno skine sa trona prošlogodišnjeg osvajača Worlds-a.

T1 je grupnu fazu grupe B završio na prvom mjestu i tako kao prepreku na putu do finala imao koreanskog predstavnika Hahwha Life esports. Međutim, nošeni sjajnom igrom **Lee „Faker“ Sang-hjeoka**, možda i najboljeg igrača u istoriji LoL-a, T1 se prosto prošetao na otvaranju četvrtfinalnih mečeva (3:0).

Ispostavilo se da ništa teži posao nijesi imali ni članovi branioca titule. Damwon Gaming je jedina ekipa koja je grupnu fazu završila sa perfektnim skorom (6:0) i stavili do znanja svima da se neće lako odreći titule osvojene prošle godine u Šangaju. Oni su, takođe sa 3:0, savladali evropskog predstavnika ekipu Mad Lions, za koju je većina mislila da će biti „dark horse“ ovogodišnjeg Worldsa. Ipak, nakon iscrpljujuće grupne faze (sve četiri ekipe unutar grupe D su imale skor od 3:3) nijesu imali snage a ni koncentracije da spriječe trenutno najdominantniju ekipu na sceni na putu ka odbrani titule.

Ekipama slijedi par dana pauze i biće to sjajna prilika da se na pravi način pripreme za ono što ih, a i nas, čeka. Polufinalne mečeve otvoriće super-derbi između T1 i DAMWON Gaminga, koji je zakazan za 30. oktobar (14h po našem vremenu), dok će 31. svoj meč odigrati ekipe EDward Gaming i Gen.G. esports (takođe od 14h po našem vremenu).
